OUR COMMUNITY AIM

Community projects are at the heart of all our work. EHW CIC works with organisations like schools to ensure that services being operated from their facilities are focused upon supporting the community. Many programmes currently provided are exclusive and often outsourced to providers who are geared towards specific performance related goals. There are some simple measures that can be taken to begin the process of addressing these issues.

Firstly, a critique of current operations; is there duplication? Are specific groups not catered for?

Secondly, these services are not demonstrable through a commercial lens but critique gaps in existing provisions that have overlooked sections of the community.

Basic functions of community become the start of this conversation, what brings community together and what facilitates a more cohesive network? Barriers to involvement need to be stripped down and access to services need to take consideration of the broadest scope of community.

EHW CIC works to identify community facilities that are being used inequitably or unethically and then look at alternative options for implementation.
